IT Infrastructure Engineer (Contract) • SC / DV Clearance • Windows Server 12/16/19, AD, VMware, VDI, CISCO, ITIL • £400 - £600 PD • 12 month sign up • Huntingdon (Cambridgeshire) An experienced IT Infrastructure Engineer is needed to join a major name in UK Defence and Military Systems. Due to an expansion of services they are looking to expand their IT team on this site. We are looking for candidates comfortable taking a hands-on role across the IT Engineering lifecycle, including defining requirements, hands on builds and high-level support. You will need to be comfortable working on large complex and secure systems, ideally able to draw on your experience in the defence sector. Please note we are only able to consider candidates holding current UK Security Clearance. Ideal candidates will hold active DV clearance. This role will push your technical skills and will see you implementing and maintaining complex IT systems. You will need to be comfortable with System Administration, Server Installations and configurations (Physical and Virtual), Network support and builds (Physical and Virtual) and Storage solutions. Role Requirements Demonstratable skills with Windows Systems administration (Ideally with Microsoft Certifications) Experience Building and Supporting Windows Sever 12/16/19 Experience building and supporting VMware environments Strong Scripting skills using PowerShell and/or VB Active Directory and Group Policy Objects with a focus on security Practical experience integrating and supporting COTS Products Strong Networking Skills Current SC Clearance Desirable CISCO Certifications DV Clearance DevOps / Ansible VMWare Certifications Experience in Government IT Security policies and requirements (JSP 440/480) Knowledge of GIS and image processing application software Data Migration experience This is an urgent contract with the interview and onboarding process being conducted remotely.
