As a Study Director/Team Leader you will be primarily responsible for the day to day management of the In vitro Study Director teamwhile working closely with the Department Director and the Operations Manager. In this role you will also have responsibility for conducting In vitro studies as a Study Director where required, ensuring they are carried out and reported to high scientific standards at our site in Alcombury, Cambridgshire. Main responsibilities will include: * Independently working to develop scientific knowledge and expertise in others, and drive/influences client perspectives * As a Study Director, take responsibility for planning, method development, validation, report writing and the reviewing of a variety of studies * Mentoring and developing others in the group through continuous and consistent feedback * Acting as an expert scientific reviewer in evaluating and interpreting complex data for study reports, and reviewing technical validity of study results * Monitoring and reviewing client satisfaction to provide feedback to team and ensure repeat business. Builds confidence to win future work across service lines through advice and guidance * Working collaboratively with the Director and Operational manager in pursuit of continued quality and process/technical improvements * Maintaining an understanding of current regulatory guidelines and scientific literature relative to roles This is a new, exciting role at Covance and requires a good working/expert knowledge of the scientific disciplines (in vitro studies) with respect to metabolism (IVM) If you want to work within a supportive and growing team with the opportunity of progression, then we would like to hear from you! Relocation costs may be available Education/Qualifications: * Expert knowledge of the scientific discipline with respect to IVM Experience: * Good commercial and business awareness * Project, customer and people management skills * Experience of running Metabolism studies from study planning, method development, validation and report writing Employment Type: Full Time
