Do you want to work as a CTO with some of the best founders of the most successful global start-ups ever (Amazon, JustEat, Zipcar)? Are you interested in completely revolutionising e-commerce. Then this could be the role for you With an estimated market worth £406 billion by 2023 we have a huge amount of work to do to help transition the industry from archaic wooden processes for fulfilment to a slick service that can be accessed by anyone as easily as ordering food online. Targeting the small-medium sellers, stores and businesses we have an audience of over 200k businesses in the UK already. They are selling their products through multiple channels, including marketplaces such as Amazon and eBay, their own websites, and on social media like Facebook and Instagram. Today, these small and medium sellers are ignored by the large incumbent logistics service providers and we are on a mission to change that. As employee number 2 and an equity partner in the business we are looking for someone who can take our POC and create something amazing. Working across product and technology, growing the function around yourself. You will initially be hands on as our Technical Architect and Engineer. We expect you to take stock of you current POC and work out how much you want to keep and what we need to change as a start point. From there we expect you to be working out who we need to hire to realise your ideas and our business goals. Our current platform is built in Golang (Go) on top of AWS but we are happy for someone to join us with a background of working with either; Node.JS, Python, Go, or something similar. We believe as long as you are a strong engineer you understand code generally. You would have definitely run teams of at least 10 people in engineering and be comfortable being the most senior technical resource in the business.
