Adecco are currently recruiting for a Pay, Benefits and Reward Partner to work for a Local Authority across Kingston-upon-Thames and Sutton. Pay, Benefits and Reward Partner Kingston-upon-Thames and Sutton (must be able to travel to both locations) Full time - 36 hours per week (Part Time hours also available) Temporary role - 3 months minimum £25.22 per hour PAYE / 32.64 per hour Umbrella About the role You'll work in partnership with a new Talent and Resourcing Partner to head up and jointly manage the new Resourcing, Talent, Benefit and Reward Team, comprising of 9 staff. Your key focus will be researching and implementing pay, reward and benefit strategies for both Councils and their traded services customers as required. This will involve implementing pay and reward structures, job evaluation and providing advice on pay and grading matters including pay benchmarking and additional incentives such as market supplements as required. Both Councils currently utilise two different pay grading schemes (HAY for Sutton and GLPC for Kingston) but we are keen to review our pay structures and overall reward strategies in both Councils and you will play a key role in leading on this project. About you We're looking for someone who will question and challenge the Councils ways of working, demonstrate innovation and creativity, can work successfully with key stakeholders and customers within and outside of the Council through effective communication. In addition, experience in implementing pay and reward strategies and job evaluation (HAY and GLPC desirable) is a must for this role. You'll also possess strong leadership and management skills to support, motivate and get the best out of your team. You'll also be someone who can demonstrate a strong commitment to your own personal and professional development to meet the changing demands of the role and be able to work across the wider People and OD Service to contribute to the successful delivery of key priority projects. Role purpose The Council is focused on delivering the best possible outcomes for its communities. To do this the Council needs managers who thrive in a networked organisation and who can provide strong operational leadership. The role reports directly to the Head of Organisational Development. Key activities Lead a team of professionals to deliver customer and future focused resourcing solutions as well as benefit and reward advice. One role will specialise in Resourcing and Talent, the other role will specialise in Benefit, Pay and Reward. Work flexibly in any area of OD as required by the needs of the service to ensure best use of resources. Share line management of the resourcing team with responsibility for overseeing objectives and KPIs Provide professional consistent and appropriate resourcing support and benefit and reward advice to all Council Officers, Schools and external organisations Ensure that all aspects of the Councils recruitment processes including the statutory obligations for DBS, monitoring of the contract compliance, safeguarding and other clearances are adhered to. Research and implementation of reward and benefit strategies as appropriate Lead on pay and reward strategies for both boroughs, including benefits, pay structures etc Contribute to the development of HR/OD policy Provide a professional solution focused recruitment, onboarding, pay and grading and resourcing service across all Directorates and Schools/other traded services organisations. Provide specialist and complex advice and guidance to all our customers such as staff, managers, on a wide range of resourcing issues to include, recruitment, DBS matters, onboarding, job evaluation, pay and grading, apprenticeship schemes, agency, graduate and related employment matters. Be the lead officer advising and supporting all customers within the directorates on a variety of resourcing or pay and grading matters to deliver best practice and provide a customer focused solution/outcome for the Councils. Work with the OD Strategic BP to deliver the employer brand project and then implement across all work streams Lead on senior recruitment for all customers, including E-Teach for schools Support and work with colleagues across the OD Service and wider Councils in the development and delivery of policies and procedures, strategies, recruitment transactional and operational priorities and aspects of corporate projects.
