Overview

The Company Nigel Wright is delighted to be working with a high volume manufacturer, supplying to the luxury consumer sector to recruit a Quality Manager. The role will be based at their manufacturing plant in the North East, which is in a period of significant investment and growth. The Role Reporting to the Site Director, responsibilities include: Agreeing the quality standards required with internal teams and identifying root cause, corrective and preventative actions where necessary, to achieve them. To lead and support the team in the implementation of quality tools and techniques, supporting managers and team leaders in their quality and continuous improvement activities. Provide clear direction for product quality incorporating quality documentation and records. Conduct internal audits to assist with the continual development of the current quality system registration to ISO 9001:2015. Using Lean and Continuous Improvement tools proactively reduce both customer and internal NCR's Ensuring that a "Right 1st Time" culture is promoted within the company Responsible for producing and using relevant KPI's that support business objectives. Leading by example through role modelling behaviour, whilst enforcing high company standards, policies and procedures. The Person The successful candidate will have: Experience in a similar role, gained in a manufacturing business. Understanding and use of Lean and Continuous Improvement principles. Experience of working closely with Suppliers, Manufacturing and Design to improve product Quality. An improvement focused attitude. Excellent attention to detail. Good interpersonal skills to influence at all levels, both internally an externally.
