About The Role This role is with our Operations and Risk Team within the Procurement Function, which is responsible for ensuring CBS implements a third party supplier risk management framework consistent with its risk appetite and regulatory requirements and provides rich insights to internal stakeholders on CBS’s procurement activities. The team is responsible for providing a central coordination point for evaluating and controlling the risks associated with suppliers, with the mandate to drive value through best in class risk management activities. You‘ll be responsible for providing analytical support to the Procurement Insights Manager and the wider Procurement team. You’ll be conducting supplier and market data research, providing analytical expertise across all spend categories to support the development of category strategies and sourcing plans across the Society. You’ll play an important role in supporting the Procurement Function deliver its commercial objectives by collating and distributing reports covering supplier performance and sourcing strategies. You’ll identify and present related data insights, engaging with suppliers to arrange meetings and obtain information as required and producing reports concerning third party risk to ensure they include relevant information and are provided to the Risk Function as required. You’ll be managing core administrative processes such as policy storage and maintenance and budget related activity on behalf of the Function and you’ll be required to undertake research related tasks and coordinate arrangements on behalf of members of the Function. You’ll be expected to participate in broader initiatives and projects within the Procurement Function as required and as a member of the Society’s Procurement Function, you’ll be require to identify, report and mitigate third party risk in line with the Society’s Enterprise Risk Management Framework. About You You should be confident with numbers, articulate with strong organisational and data presentation skills. You will be a naturally curious person, who looks beyond the initial answer to discover the real insight, comfortable creating reports using Excel, Word or PowerPoint. You’ll be able to work well in a fast-paced environment and possess the ability to prioritise multiple competing deadlines. You‘ll be comfortable engaging with a range of internal and external stakeholders, from who you’ll be requesting information and following up as required. Knowledge of Visio and developing process maps is desired but not essential but you’ll be expected to learn these skills. Whilst you do not need to have a background in procurement, you should demonstrate a willingness to develop knowledge and expertise in this area.
