Overview
Rutherford Briant are currently recruiting for a Corporate Finance Executive to join a Top 20 firm in Cambridge. This is a newly created position following sustained growth over the last 18 months and as a result they are looking for a High calibre individual to join and progress the team. Typical Duties include: Building financial models for growth funding, exit and acquisition: This will require the ability to build an accurate, robust but simple model from a blank excel sheet utilising underlying knowledge of how to build a P&L, cash flow statement and balance sheet from the ground up. Training and support will be provided but the ideal candidate will have some knowledge of the process required Valuations: The ideal candidate will have knowledge of the different valuation methodologies, have the potential to be trained in how to craft a valuation report, and have a commercial eye to understand what drives value in an organisation Due Diligence assignments: The team are often mandated by corporate acquirers, investors and banks to evaluate the financial strength, robustness and future of a target company given a certain set of strategic goals/transaction purpose. The ideal candidate will be able to understand these goals and apply both a critical commercial eye and strong financial knowledge to investigate the target and form an assessment. Training and guidance will be provided but successful candidates will show their confidence to investigate to suitable depth based on their knowledge and analysis Supporting transactions and strategic planning: The individual will often be part of seeing major strategic decisions emerge from the very start and have an opportunity to help contribute towards the design of the lifecycle of a business This will be a team-based, client-facing role, requiring excellent inter-personal skills The successful candidate will be either Newly Qualified or have up to 2 years post qualification experience from a reputable firm.
