Overview

Rutherford Briant Recruitment are currently recruiting a Corporate Tax Manager who can provide tax advisory, complience management and business development services to join our 'Big 4' client based in Cambridge. The firm have been experiencing a sustained period of growth throughout all of their offices including Cambridge and are now looking for skilled individuals who can match their ambition of doubling the business within 3 years. Duties within this role include: Acting as lead contact with several clients as well as liasing with directors and partners to manage larger accounts. Leading the delivery of tax advisory and planning work on client portfolio. Driving business development which includes having contact with new targets and clients across different taxes and commercial issues. Attending events may also be required in this position Supervising the co-ordination of several different teams internally to provide a single point of contact for the client in delivering a comprehensive cross-tax offering. Leading tax audits in accordance with agreed terms with the audit team and advising the audit team of potential tax exposure Liaising with the tax computation processing team in the management and delivery of tax compliance work. Monitoring the tax compliance position using tax administration software Reviewing corporation tax computations and advising the client on the computational treatment of contentious issues Co-ordinating tax payments, loss relief, capital allowances, group relief and other claims Delegating work to junior colleagues to effectively deliver through other people whilst maintaining control of quality and timetables. Playing a leading role in the team across many areas with a strong emphasis on coaching and developing junior members of staff The successful candidate will be ACA ir CTA qualified with post qualification experience. They should also have strong knowledge of UK corporation tax as well as some awareness of international tax issues.
