Overview

The Company: I have an exciting opportunity to join my client as a Desktop Services Manager on a permanent basis. This role will be based in their Liverpool Street London offices and will be responsible for the development, management and support a Desktop estate. You will be required to ensure that the end user service provision is maintained across their 3 locations. As part of this you will also have responsibility for a dynamic team of Desktop Engineers. The role will be a key contributor to IT and the business and will frequently be required to engage with all levels within the organisation. Demonstrable management and operational qualities are essential. You will need to have proven experience of developing, implementing and supporting IT solutions, ideally in a financial services environment. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate an ability to work in a consultative style with none technical business teams providing direction and taking ownership as required, as well as being a strong communicator and have knowledge of relevant ITIL frameworks and compliance. Key Responsibilities: Identify potential changes and system improvements to present to IT Support Manager for consideration and implementation. Managing staffing levels required to successful achieve both BAU and project requirements, as well as managing holiday, sickness and backfill management. Proactive review and management of Incident and request volumes to ensure appropriate work is being managed by the EUC team (and shifted back to Service Desk and remote Desktop Support team where required). Liaise with employees, clients and suppliers to identify causes of IT issues and implement solutions. Document and maintain operational process procedures ensuring these are up to date. The ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience: Minimum 5 years in an IT Support role dealing with users at all levels Demonstrable management of a team Demonstrable experience of prioritising workload Excellent Customer Service in Face-to-Face, Telephone or Electronic Interaction with Clients What we can offer: A competitive salary of up to £65,000 (dependent on experience) 31 days holiday, plus 8 days bank holiday A competitive Pension scheme Healthcare cover
