Overview

Debden (Loughton) Double Day shift 6:30-2:30 and 2:30 - 10:30 (please note this shift may change) The Facilities Engineering Technician will provide engineering support to ensure the delivery of the department strategy. Delivering technical expertise to ensure site compliance and support to engineering issues and concerns through both maintenance, technical and facilities teams. Ensure all equipment and processes meet with current standards and requirements. Maintain all production, plant and ancillary equipment, ensuring optimum production performance, minimising equipment downtime and ensuring reliability through a proactive approach to maintenance. Delivery of continuous improvement strategies and support/lead projects to improve equipment efficiencies. Flexibility to work and support across all engineering functions. What you will be doing: Support operations in a professional manner to ensure all business targets are met across all functions Conduct inspections, assessments and compliance checks on plant and systems to ensure compliance against regulations Support all breakdowns and maintenance work as/when required including facilities Support direct line manager in delivery of projects and site requirements Perform periodic maintenance checks and procedures on production, plant and support equipment to maximise equipment uptime/performance. Identify/perform and deliver PPM maintenance and provide support/training to other DLR staff. Identify/deliver technical solutions to production concerns. Complete electrical/mechanical installs and equipment moves. Ensure department safety is deployed, ensuring control of contractors, reviewing RAMS and creating/reviewing PTW procedures. Update and provide department report as/when required To review/analyse data to identify areas of improvement. Respond to equipment and plant breakdowns when required in a timely manner to ensure continuity of production, report findings and record solutions. Ensure maintenance management system is updated for data collection. Complete, promote and deliver RA’s and SOP to ensure team compliance the site HSSE To provide support and advice on potential operational and performance improvements including, training and documentation. ?What we are looking for: ?HNC level or equivalent in an Electrical/Electronic or Mechanical discipline Experience and working knowledge of using a CMMS Good working knowledge of the BMS control 18th Edition Elect regs / city and guilds inspection/testing PUWER An active contributing member of a progressive flexible engineering team. Knowledge in continuous improvement techniques, 5S, SMED, Lean and Six Sigma an advantage. IT Literate, fully conversant with MS Excel &Word Fully conversant with intricate, electro-mechanical control systems. Able to understand and improve complex process systems through the use of well-developed engineering skills.
