Join us in the new year as we support adults with learning disabilities over several services in central High Wycombe. We are passionate about the people we support and making sure they are at the centre of what we do. We are recruiting to several services - some are complex and need staff to support challenging environments, others are to mentor more able individuals in becoming more independent and finding a job and managing their social networks more effectively. You will be leading a team to support people to promote independence in accessing the local community, engaging in work, learning to cook and keep their own home neat, clean and tidy, while also supporting people to ensure their voices are heard and their needs are met in a person centred way, to name but a few Main skills needed: You have been a good Support Worker with experience of supporting with challenging behaviour and are looking for your next challenge Ability to effectively lead and supervise staff teams is a must. Be able to make quick decisions and support services as part of an On Call system. Ability to juggle responsibilities: Completing paperwork and reports according to deadlines To prioritise work load with support needs of the people we support To step in and cover shifts as part of your working week/rota At least 2 years’ experience of working in a support worker role in a care setting 1-2 years’ experience of challenging behaviours Be excellent at communicating with the people we support, staff teams and management alike.
