Buyer-FMCG National food business East London £35,000-£40,000 Bonus & Benefits Are you a Food Buyer or Purchasing Manager with foodservice buying experience who is looking for an autonomous role to make decisions and have a direct impact on profit? I have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Food Buyer / Purchasing Manager to join this leading firm in one of their key categories. You will maintain and grow long-standing supplier relationships and develop new opportunities at a competitive price. You will take the lead in negotiating commercial and contractual terms for nationally. Ideally, you will have experience in buying any food product range including frozen, ambient, chilled, fresh, meat, fish or dairy. The role & requirements: Previous experience in a similar role Excellent negotiation and communication skills Ability to target and deliver significant cost savings Food buying experience within a Foodservice / Catering environment Excellent supplier management skills Strong commercial acumen – accountability for achieving and excelling company targets Strategic ability – responsible for setting budgets, achieving margins, category profitability Outstanding leadership skills Strong organisation skills and ability to work under pressure Demonstrate an aptitude for financial acumen in managing your budgets.
