About The Role In this role you’ll have overall responsibility for ensuring CBS identifies, sources and manages suppliers in line with its regulatory requirements. The role is strategic in its breadth and requires the creation and oversight of processes to ensure suppliers are onboarded, managed and audited in line with relevant requirements. You’ll be creating those processes and ensuring they remain proportionate will require an in-depth knowledge of the current and emerging regulatory regime relevant to this area and how they impact an organisation like CBS. You’ll be leading the team responsible for onboarding suppliers and assessing risk as well as engaging extensively with colleagues in Risk and Internal Audit on matters concerning compliance with these regulatory requirements. You’ll also lead the insights practice area to provide first class actionable insights on the activity of the procurement function. You’ll own the key policies maintained by CBS with relevance in this area and be responsible for risk reporting and the accurate maintenance of registers required under regulation. You’ll have responsibility for ensuring delivery and governance of this area across the Society and will enable and influence decision making through accurate, consistent and timely Executive and Senior Management information, planning and reporting. You may be required to engage with regulatory bodies on behalf of the organisation. As a senior member of the Society’s procurement function, you’ll be required to take a leading role in relation to broader departmental level activities, including the identification, reporting and mitigation of third party risk in line with the Society’s Enterprise Risk Management Framework. About You You’ll hold the appropriate professional qualification (inprocurement, risk, audit, legal or accountancy) or relevant experience -ideally gained in Financial Services as you must be able to understand how riskframeworks operate and how they operate within CBS. It’s essential you have a thorough understanding of theregulatory arrangements relevant to third parties and be able to demonstratehow you are an effective people manager and be adept at mentoring and trainingmembers of your team. You’ll have a clear appetite for process improvement andbe adept at turning different regulatory standards into regulatory processes.You must be able to develop an excellent understanding of the Society’s supplychain and its wider business strategy.
