A Sous Chef role is available at a fresh food pub located in Chester Role: A high volume, dining pub with a good reputation for offering high quality, fresh food is recruiting for a Sous Chef to join the kitchen at the venue.The pub menus feature classic dishes prepared with modern interpretations with this Sous Chef role allowing you to get involved with the menu development, bring your own ideas for new dishes.The kitchen runs with a team of nine chefs who you will help to manage, train and organise to ensure that the busy department runs smoothly.As a senior chef in the kitchen you will also be involved with the kitchen management including costings, staffing, admin, attending meetings and implementing hygiene regulations. Requirements: A strong Junior Sous Chef or an experienced Sous Chef is required to take on this position.The venue is seeking a chef who has already been working in food led/ gastro pubs with good experience of fresh food prepared for large numbers of covers is needed for this role.A good team leader who has basic kitchen management knowledge but wishes to progress their knowledge of this area would be ideal.
