Strategic Risk Senior Analyst Location: Warwick, WAR, GB, CV34 6DA Division: DIGITAL SECURITY & RISK C Job Type: Requisition Number: 11162 Job Category: IT Job Function: Information Services About the Role The Strategic Risk Analyst role is a unique management developmental role, providing a fast-paced and challenging opportunity for a highly motivated individual seeking to grow into a leadership role in the future. You will be liaising with critical functions, helping to quantify risk and threats as well as challenge ways of thinking and innovate in order to continually drive value. The role will involve the assessment of vulnerability, security controls, threat & business impact to better understand evolving risks and in turn inform current and future security strategy. The Strategic Risk Analyst will: Drive effective security risk management measuring changes in the internal and external landscape. Evolve crucial security programs necessary to further the resilience of our IT and OT networks. Develop quantitative and qualitative strategic reporting for global business stakeholders & senior leaders. Analyse and measure risk reduction of IT & OT programmes as they deliver security controls and, when course correction is required identify, develop & support updated solutions. Propel focused security assessments and workshops for new or existing IT and OT services, architecture, technologies, equipment, processes, procedures, identifying weaknesses in controls or solutions and recommending appropriate actions to effectively manage risk. Work with business partners, hand-in hand, in the risk assessment process. Adhere and contribute to the continuous improvement of a robust security risk framework and methodology. Provide assurance that business critical system and business risks are known and accepted or effectively mitigated. Support the development of risk-based, threat driven improvement plans and implementation of cyber security IT and OT risk mitigation solutions that deliver business value and enhance overall operational security. About You You will have experience within Cyber Security and hold relevant Information Security qualifications such as CISSP, CRISC. Your knowledge will include utilising risk assessment methodologies (e.g. NIST 800-30, ISO27001, FAIR), with demonstrable experience working with industry best practices and security control frameworks (NIST 800 53, ISO 27001, IEC 62443). You will be able to operate as a highly independent motivated worker and as part of a strong team with a collaborative approach, delivering high-quality outputs, whilst thinking outside of the box, challenging ways of thinking to innovate and find improvement opportunities About Us National Grid touches the lives of almost everyone in the UK, with an energy network that stretches across the Atlantic.
