POSITION: Technical Support Engineer SALARY: £20k - £30k based on experience BENEFITS: Company Pension HOURS: Full Time – 9.00 – 5.30 LOCATION: Llanelli, Carmarthenshire SA15 2EA DESCRIPTION: An excellent opportunity is available for an experienced Technical Support Engineer to join an expanding independent systems house, specialising in delivering bottom line IT benefits for clients. The role is based in Llanelli, Carmarthenshire with travel to customer sites where necessary. The successful Technical Support Engineer will earn a competitive salary based on experience and will be a welcome member of the support team. JOB ROLE: The support team is responsible for providing helpdesk, installation, and onsite support services to its client base. Support services are provided across both hardware and software. As a Technical Support Engineer you will provide exceptional support to the company’s client base, and your day-to-day duties will include: Server support and builds Desktop support and builds Office 365 administration User administration General housekeeping Network monitoring Antivirus solutions setup and removals Application Support such as MS Office suites Hardware fault finding Documenting client sites The usual array of tasks that fall under the “support” umbrella THE IDEAL CANDIDATE: The successful Technical Support Engineer must possess the following skills and qualifications: Experience in Desktop Support including Windows 7 and 10 Experience in Windows Server Platforms and/or Linux Platform Experience in Active Directory, Exchange, VMware & Terminal Services Experience in Office 365 Capable of working on your own as well as part of a team A self-starter with a ‘can do, will do’ attitude Excellent communications skills both written and oral Full Driving licenceThe successful candidate will be required to travel to sites throughout the UK and potentially stay overnight. Some evening/weekend work will be required to complete out of hours’ client server/infrastructure projects, where necessary, so flexibility will be required.
