Overview
A large and highly reputable retail firm in Southampton has entrusted the Interaction Financial recruitment team to secure an ambitious and commercially astute Financial Analyst. This market leading business has created this new role in order to guide and underpin strategic decision making of their senior stakeholders. The focus of this role is to ensure the store network are marketing the correct categories of products for their demographic of customers and markets they sell to, while helping to predict future trends and challenge assumptions based on the provision of insightful financial analysis. As well as acting as a day to day business partner for store managers and regional directors, the successful applicant will also play a pivotal role in developing a new management information suite that will facilitate sold business growth by rationalising product lines. This is a highly commercial opportunity for an accountant to act a key influencer across the business and the footprint of 60 stores. The successful applicant will be a fully qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA or ACA) with a solid background in management accounting and be comfortable presenting information at management meetings. A background in retail would be advantageous but the key defining factor for a successful application will be an interest in financial analysis and demonstrable advanced excel skills as well as good business facing abilities.
