CLOUD SERVICE OWNER WARWICK 6 MONTH CONTRACT Pontoon has an exciting opportunity for a Cloud Service Owner to join our Utilities Client based in Warwick on a contract to run until March 2020. My client is international electricity and gas Company and one of the largest investor owned Energy companies in the world. They play a vital role in delivering gas and electricity to many millions of people across Great Britain and North-Eastern US in an efficient, reliable and safe manner. About the role: The Cloud Service Owner manages the overall regional cloud estate on behalf of the Infrastructure and Operations organization. He/she has overall responsibility for ensuring IT Cloud Services are fit for purpose and can support the day to day application dependencies from the UK Business. The day-to-day responsibilities of the role involve working with support services, both internal resources and external vendors, to manage the cloud environment(s) and may serve as an escalation point when necessary. Experience we are looking for: Exceptional leadership communication, partnership building and executive presence Strong business acumen and customer focus Strong influencing, program and change management skills Prior experience in implementation of hybrid cloud virtual data centre utilizing both public and private clouds. Technology experience with some of the following: Azure, AWS, VMWare Experience with the ITIL operations framework; experience creating a new organisation. Experience defining the vision and building the plan to implement. Experience in orchestration, automation and optimization of servers, storage, virtualization, high-availability, backup and disaster recovery.
