Permanent Quantity Surveyor role, Derbyshire, Refurbishment / Maintenance projects, Competitive salary Your new company You will be working for an award winning contractor who specialise in the maintenance and refurbishment sector on a nationwide scale. Due to continued success in the market and an increase of workload the organisation are seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join the commercial team on a permanent basis. Your new role You will be reporting into the commercial manager assuming commercial responsibility for multiple contracts simultaneously. You will be involved in the budgeting and cost reporting across refurbishment and maintenance contracts. You will be involved in assisting with the selection of estimates and bids, procurement, prepare and submit monthly applications for payment and completing valuation reports. The role will also involve evaluating sub contractors payment requests and liaising with the operational delivery team to keep on top of any changes to project cost or timescales. What you'll need to succeed In order to be successful in the role you will have a strong background as a Quantity Surveyor working across the public and private sectors. This is a varied role with a diverse range of stakeholders across the social housing and commercial environment. You must be have refurbishment / maintenance, refit and planned works experience and hold a full UK driving license for occasional site visits,. Ideally you will also hold an academic qualification relating to Quantity Surveyor.
