Service Engineer Location:Milton Keynes Salary: Up to £25,000 benefits (Dependant on experience) We have an exciting opportunity for a Service Engineer to work within a successful business, who are market leaders in the service, repair and re-manufacture of entertainment and multimedia products. Customers include global distributors and manufacturers of cars, in-car entertainment products and professional audio equipment as well as end users, and you will join the Company at a time of rapid change having recently achieved another international customer. Service Engineer role responsibilities Testing, servicing, repairing, re-manufacturing and analysing electronic audio visual electronic equipment. Fault find to component level. Provide cost-effective solutions to identified faults. PCB and component replacement. Adhere to all repairing modifications, Service Level instructions, procedures, standards and output targets. Adhere to and test to defined Quality Prepare internal records and repair/analysis reports in accordance with company standards. Direct liaison with customers to communicate repair estimates, timescales and technical feedback. Service Engineer required skills and experience Technical knowledge of in-car entertainment audio, visual and navigation products desirable. Competent in repairing and fault finding to component level. Competent in reading schematic diagrams. Experience of using test and measurement equipment for electronic analysis. Ability to collate data then write fault and failure analysis reports. Ability to work closely with other team members to resolve customer issues Fluent English when liaising with customers and colleagues in person, on the telephone and by email.
