Our client is a well-respected Managing General Agent who specialise in niche insurance risks. They have a fantastic reputation with their clients and provide a great customer service. Their approach to the treatment of their staff is fantastic and their expectations of results are realistic. They support their teams to help them achieve their potential with a long-term view focusing on career progression. The Opportunity This client is looking for someone to write profitable business in niche insurance lines. Due to the set up and flexibility of the company they are open to looking at candidates from a variety of insurance risks with the more niche/specialist the better. They are seeking an experienced and ambitious underwriter with strong relationship building skills and the ability to develop their own book of business or bring across existing relationships. They have access to a variety of capacity providers including Lloyds, non-Lloyds and Reinsurance. What’s needed for me to be considered? This client is looking for a candidate with either a transferable book of business of a business plan who wants to be part of an entrepreneurial organisation with ambition and drive. You will have a proven track record in developing a book of clients previously and have fantastic relationship management skill. You will have the ability to network and the confidence to generate your own introductions or show initiative to strike up introducer relationships. You will either have access to capacity yourself or have a proven track record enabling this client to be able to get capacity for you. Insurance qualifications whilst preferable are not essential.
