OVERALL JOB PURPOSE Represent the company in the delivery of projects Receive instruction and issue direction in order to ensure the successful delivery of projects Deliver works safely by understanding the projects, developing the team and client relationships and monitor the construction programme Identify and manage risks, progress and quality against cost plans Various other duties KEY RESULTS AREAS Develop complete understanding of all project objectives Build, develop, support and maintain the team Build and maintain good relationships with the clients and external parties Develop the tender programme into a construction programme Monitor progress with up to date programmes so clear direction can be given Develop, manage and maintain a site management plan Identify and evaluate risks, determine and manage actions and maintain risk register Monitor projects against cost plans, programmes and quality/environmental plans Manage stakeholder engagement and develop and protect subcontractor relationships Prepare and present project reports as well as project information Ensure all works and paperwork are completed defect free KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & DIMENSIONS HNC/HND Proven technical and project management abilities CSCS SMSTS SEATS Computer literate Strong organisational and management skills Knowledge of the requirements and implementation of CDM regulations Ability to produce Work Package Plans, Task Briefing Sheets, and implement safe systems of work Detailed knowledge of Safety, Quality and Environmental issues relevant to the project environment Sufficient experience required within construction Direct reports seven (7) dependent upon project Indirect reports five (5) dependent upon project Managed contracted services sub-contractors and agencies as necessary Budget allocation dependent upon project Signing authority in accordance with authorised signatory This job was originally posted as www.totaljobs.com/job/89910784
