Job Description

Our client is a civil, groundwork and concrete frame contractor and are looking for a Contracts Manager to oversee their projects in and around the area. Job summary The successful candidate will manage the negotiations of projects and highlight any contracts concerns. The role requires someone that is comfortable creating and maintaining relationships as working and liaising with suppliers and customers. You will plan critical dates and organise labour. You would also be responsible for agreeing extra work to be done on a contract, helping to resolve any disputes which come up, and identifying areas for improvement in the contracting processes. Skills and Requirements * Effective communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills * Exceptional attention to detail, and talent for accuracy and precision * Deep understanding of contracts, contract governance, contractual language and the contract lifecycle * Critical thinking skills and the ability to research and understand legal and financial implications * Excellent reading and writing skills * Excellent understanding of the business or industry, its services, customers and providers * Appointing and managing sub-contractors; assessing progress; planning of on time delivery; ability to problem solve and ensure the smooth running of your sites * Overseeing the planning of works across multiple sites both on site and commercially.
