Transport Shift Manager Kettering £45,000 package Bis Henderson are working with an extremely busy retailer who require a Transport Shift Manager based at their busy retail distribution centre in Kettering. It is absolutely imperative that you have experience in a fast paced retail operation as there is no time for adjustments at the moment. You will be responsible for working directly with the internal customer to develop and sustain a positive and progressive working relationship for both parties. It will be the Transport Shift Managers responsibility to lead and develop the Transport team, ensuring they are motivated and focused on their individual contribution to the success of both businesses, recognising success and rewarding performance along the way. The successful candidate must hold a National CPC and have up to date knowledge of regulations as you'll be responsible for ensuring the legal compliance of the Core Fleet Transport operation at all times, as well as ensuring the fleet is maintained and serviced in accordance with regulatory bodies and company policies within budget; of which a strong commercial acumen is essential. You will come with fresh ideas on how a Transport Operation should effectively run and be a keen advocate of continuous improvement as well as being a concise and dedicated leader. Naturally, Health and Safety will play a key part of the Transport Shift Managers role, you'll be responsible for managing compliance including processes and procedures, promoting Health and Safety, leading the team to treat Health and Safety as a priority within the operation. Typically day shift, but during this busy time, flexibility to work a varied shift pattern is essential.
