Join us a Relief Support Worker supporting adults with learning disabilities.in the Warrington areaand you'll see why About the role Relief staff cover the shifts when regular practitioners are off on annual leave, sick leave, on training courses or during other periods when we are short-staffed; Therefore there are no fixed shifts. You are under no obligation to accept any shifts which are offered. We do try to prepare the rotas one month in advance and will try where possible to find a good work-life balance to suit your needs. We can discuss your availability further at interview. You will play a key part in assisting the people we support to live as independently as possible. You will join in with the activities they enjoy, such as going to clubs, the cinema, visiting family and friends etc. You will also help support them with domestic activities such as shopping, cooking, cleaning and also with personal care (where necessary). You'll take your turn working shifts on a rota, including days, evenings, nights, weekends, bank holidays and sleep-ins. This really is a wonderful opportunity to make a positive difference to someone's life. What we need from you Firstly, you don’t need experience to become a Support Worker but it’s not easy. The work can be demanding and challenging at times but no two days are the same and the reward of seeing YOUR personal impact is incredibly inspiring and it’s something you’ll never forget. As long as you have the passion and drive to want to make a real difference, we’ll teach you the rest. With your key attributes and our training, together we can deliver the best possible support. You will need to have a manual driving licence for this role in order to drive service vehicles.
