Role: Production / Operations Team Leader Location: Nottingham £32 – 35k Band Plus Overtime, Package and 10% Pension Client: Category market leader in manufacturing (Process and Packaging) Our client is a highly successful and established multi-site market leading manufacturer is expanding its UK operations. Due to continual growth and expansion at this site…and it’s a huge, complex site, we are recruiting a Production Shift Leader / Team Manager to join this successful factory operation. You will lead by example in your area and set the production standard. You will take full responsibility for the day to day running of operations and production in your area, on your shift Delivering the operational plan, empowering your team to drive production performance – it’s a leadership role Leading your team to achieve best in class quality, safety, people and plant performance Maintaining a balanced scorecard against KPIs to drive further growth Ensuring we deliver Great Quality, In Time, In Full every time Focusing on materials (waste) and people costs Direct reporting line Team Managers with overall responsibility for approximately 200 workers. Leading in the implementation of a Project Management Review system that truly drives our continues improvement Leading and Coaching teams to deliver great results, with a clear eye for recognising and nurturing talent Shifts: Flexibility is required for a rotating shift pattern. Naturally, it’s a 24/7 operation with JIT delivery The Successful profile: Demonstrable track record in a production frontline management role with a strong emphasis on leading and motivating and developing people. Experience within a similar manufacturing environment with proven experience of delivering results in all areas of the scorecard is required. You will have a good knowledge of the tools and techniques of Continuous Improvement and how to integrate them into a business, best practice manufacturing methods. Ideally with a food and Drink / FMCG , Packaging or process background; definitely high volume continuous manufacturing You will create a real positive environment on the shop floor, encouraging operators to take ownership for monitoring machine performance, collecting data and generating ideas and solutions. In addition, you will set clear provision of objectives which will be critical for sections to achieve their targets A clear career development plan and progression plan is available to you
