Overview
Production Planner | Nottingham | £28,000 - £30,000 Good planning, forms the link between all the key stakeholders in manufacturing, including customer service, production, procurement and sales. We're therefore looking for an excellent communicator who can build bridges throughout the organisation to deliver an excellent experience for their customers. Responsibilities: ·Ensure daily production requirements are achieved to meet customer expectation. ·Analyse and prepare documents needed for production (working patterns and manning plans). ·Data analysis and decision making to support raw material supply and finished goods demand, ensuring that potential conflicts are highlighted to the Supply Chain Manager in a timely manner for discussion/resolution. ·Create production schedules and prioritise works orders for production optimisation. ·Maintain a log of approved plan changes within lead time, including impact of and rationale for change. ·Work with the Purchasing team regarding purchase requirements to reduce purchase order changes; communicating agreed changes to plan within lead time and securing additional material requirements. ·Maintain the production schedule via company planning tools and outputs, plus other reports as required. ·Follow up as required with all teams to expedite flow of materials to meet production schedule and customer expectation. ·Complete status reports for production progress, work in process, and raw material inventory. ·Work collaboratively with Production management on a daily basis to resolve issues regarding manufacturing efficiencies or additional information as requested from Manufacturing, Customer Operations and Accounting. ·Be the main contact with Customer Operations regarding goods in warehouse dates of manufactured product for customer order requirements. ·Attend the daily Production meeting to monitor and feed back to the Supply Chain Manager on current/potential issues arising from raw materials, production efficiencies and/or the production plan. ·Deputise for the Supply Chain Manager on item and forecast management as necessary. Requirements: This role will best suit someone with a good background in production planning, ideally within a fast-paced production environment, like automotive or FMCG, ideally with more than three years' experience, but if you're interested I would still like to hear from you.
