Evans Jones Associates are pleased to be recruiting for Purchase Ledger Manager for our client based in Skelmersdale. The Role: An opportunity has arisen as a result of a restructure for an experienced Purchase Ledger Manager. This is an exciting position centered within the Management Accounts and Finance Team. You will ideally have experience in a fast paced, warehousing and distribution environment, but this is not essential as long as the successful candidate is highly experienced in a Purchase Ledger Manager role. Key Responsibilities: Manage all the transactional activities within Purchase Ledger Establish reporting mechanisms for the business and internal KPI’s Reconciliation of complex supplier statements Prepare accruals and reconciliations for month end Ensure month end report deadlines are achieved in a timely manner Send payment runs via BACS and manage urgent payment requests and queries Enhance communications with vendors Identify and report potential cost savings to the board for purchases across the company Reviews of working practices and processes to ensure efficient and cost-effective operations Liaise with staff at all levels across the business to achieve monthly targets This list is not exhaustive and the successful position holder may be required to carry out any task which the Company might reasonably require you to do. Transferrable Skills: Experience of Sage 200 and Excel is essential Experience within a fast paced accounts environment Experience of reconciliations Good computer literacy Outstanding attention to detail Excellent organization skills Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to build relationships with external suppliers Ability to work as an effective member of the team Days of work: Monday – Friday Hours: 09.00am – 17.00pm, however due to the nature of the role you will be expected to adopt a flexible approach to meet the needs of the business
