Overview

Work as Dementia Care Manager within a luxury nursing home close to Knutsford in Cheshire. The award winning Home provides high quality nursing, dementia and assisted living care, and we are looking for an experienced RMN or RGN to take on the role of Care Manager. You will report into the Deputy Home Manager, and will be responsible for the management of the Dementia Department, ensuring consistent high quality care is delivered. You will direct the overall operation of the department in accordance with CQC regulations. This is a full time, supernumery position working Monday to Friday 9am-5pm, with a competitive salary of up to £43,000 plus lucrative benefits and extremely supportive management team in the home. Day to day duties as Dementia Unit Manager include; · Direct the overall operation of the department in accordance with CQC regulations, standards and guidelines. · Lead the nursing and support staff to deliver an excellent service · Care plans and risk assessment evaluations · Induction, training and staff supervisions · Working as the Champion for the Dementia programme · Financial / budget control of the Unit · Building solid relationships with residents and family members About you · Qualified Registered Nurse - RGN or RMN with valid and up to date Pin · Dementia Qualification - Minimum NVQ / QCF Level 2 or 3 in Dementia Care · Level 5 QCF/NVQ in Health and Social care is desirable · Experience working in a supervisory role · Proven experience in long term Elderly Care · A detailed theoretical and practical knowledge of care plans and advanced care plans in respect of end of life care. · Evidence of supervisory leadership and management experience. - leading teams of nurses and carers · Knowledge and experience of adult abuse and managing safeguarding referrals. · Knowledge of care standards aligned to National Regulation and experience of the CQC registration & inspection process · Knowledge of health and safety procedures, including legislation · Evidence of good IT skills (proficient in Windows, Outlook and Excel) · Evidence of good written and verbal skills for communication and understanding What you will be offered; You'll receive regular training and supervision, along with development opportunities across the business.
