Overview
International Naval Support & Equipment Management - Senior Engineer We currently have a vacancy for a Senior Engineer within our International Naval Support and Equipment Management team based at our site in Portsmouth Broad Oak. As a Senior Engineer, you will be supporting our delivery of current and future International Naval projects and plus you will also have the opportunity to support a range of UK MoD Equipment Management contracts using your engineering knowledge and experience. This role will provide you with an opportunity to work on a breadth of engineering activities at various stages of the lifecycle. Your main responsibilities as an International Naval Support & Equipment Management - Senior Engineer will involve: Supporting adherence to the Engineering Lifecycle, providing technical direction, assurance and governance Undertake technical reviews, verification and approval of documentation and design to confirm all business, legislative and customer requirements have been met Supporting the delivery of existing contract and winning new business opportunities Ability to adapt to business demand across a range of projects and work under pressure Provide quality assurance and product safety guidance to the technical elements of the programme Your skills and qualifications: Essential: IEng or equivalent qualification/experience Experienced professional engineer, has a depth and breadth of knowledge in Marine Systems or Combat Systems Works with high degree of independence and technical integrity Provides technical leadership, coaches and mentors other engineers Extends knowledge base in order to provide specialist technical advice to both International and Equipment Management markets Experience in quality assurance and product safety dominated environments Desirable: Maritime domain experience Experience in a business development environment What we're looking for in you: Your will be a proactive individual with excellent communication skills, this will allow you to demonstrate your technical knowledge in a convincing manner.
