Overview

Role summary As HR Services Improvement Specialist within the HR Operations team, you will work closely with the HR communities to drive improvements relating to compliance, effectiveness and efficiencies. You will investigate, analyse, challenge and make recommendations to resolve problems and generate solutions such as deployment, operationalisation and the integration of HR initiatives and processes, with a customer-centric approach. What you'll be doing Uses commercial awareness and relationship management skills to influence, facilitate and implement change within HR, and consider processes, workflows and systems to understand the impact of changes made. Provides operational advice and guidance on a range of employment issues, policies, processes, systems and business changes. This may include providing tier 2 responses to HR queries on a number of different areas. Work in partnership with HR communities to develop, amend or enhance processes that support the application of company and local policies. Champions the correct use of the HR model and access points for stakeholders in the business e.g. using the correct service channels and self-service functionality. Drive and support a culture that ensures delivery of efficient, effective, quality driven service to internal customers. Manages, leads or contributes to HR projects as required. Develop and update the HR Operations intranet site ensuring current and relevant information is readily available. Help to build community and collaboration across the HR team, having both a direct and indirect impact, including forming a HR4HR agenda and a bi-monthly HR updates newsletter. Build strong, collaborative relationships with a range of stakeholders, including HR communities, Finance, Audit, Security, IT, BAE Systems Group and external providers. What we're looking for Experience of working with a HR team and an understanding of how to operationalise, integrate and deliver HR processes, systems, projects and change. Experience of understanding business requirements and translating them into appropriate solutions and delivering within budget / timescales. Passionate about the continuous improvement of HR service, and a customer-centric approach with the drive to ensure the right outcomes for internal stakeholders and teams. The ability to work independently as well as part of a team, including with remote / geographically dispersed team members. Proficient in Microsoft office including Excel with the ability to manipulate and analyse data using formulas, vlookups and pivot tables A HR / Business degree, CIPD, or similar is desirable.
