Overview

Northamptonshire based law firm seeks Contracts and Procurement Lawyer on a fixed term basis for 12 months. Joining the corporate team within the Northampton office, the successful lawyer will utilise their skills and expertise to advise a single client organisation on the areas of contracts and procurement law. Additionally, the successful lawyer should have the flexibility to travel to the firm’s other offices for client meetings as required. Responsibilities • Preparing and negotiating contracts • Large projects involving multiple agencies • Procurement matters • PFI • Advising client organisations on contract registers • Trading law • Conducting negotiations with third parties • Compliance with statutory duties and obligations • Developing and delivering training courses The Candidate • A solicitor, barrister or chartered legal executive from NQ upwards • Knowledge of contracts and procurement law will be essential • Company law and/or secretarial knowledge is highly desirable • Possesses outstanding verbal and written communication skills • A team player who is equally comfortable working on their own initiative • Works well under pressure to meet tight deadlines • Available for a period of 12 months to commence immediately The Firm Our client is a highly regarded social enterprise law firm specialising in the public sector.
