About the team This role sits in the Building Contract & Procurement Team, within the Housing Property Maintenance. Ostensibly tasked with procuring the relevant goods, works and services to support the maintenance of our growing housing stock (currently 10,300 properties and 300 corporate and operational buildings), the team deliver the planning, sourcing and delivery process elements of these maintenance requirements. About the role This is a fantastic opportunity to join a busy team, delivering a portfolio of contracts which align to the Housing and wider business strategies. You will have the opportunity to assess business requirements, undertake market analyses, compile complete tender documentation, oversee the tender and assess tender responses. The categories in question are wide ranging, from electrical upgrades and gas central heating to Fire Alarm systems and uPVC installations. Compliance is key (legal, regulatory, Council, H&S and CDM), but so is flexibility to meet the business requirements, a wide market engagement and benefit for the community. All this whilst managing planned and reactive housing maintenance requirements.
