Business Development Director – Digital Rostering Software / Workforce Consultancy Solutions John Ross Associates are currently working for an established non-profit Workforce Training and eLearning Software and Digital Solutions provider who are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager / Director to drive revenue and manage your own clients across the UK selling heavily into the Public Sectors (Health, Legal, Government, NHS) being Home Based. Salary up to £60,000 – Candidates will need a full driver’s licence and transport This role will be homebased with office commute when required. The client is open to applicant locations from Birmingham down to Taunton - South Wales Across to South East of England. The holder of this senior position will (working to defined targets) be responsible for developing and securing new business opportunities for Our Client within a geographic area across the Digital Solutions service provision. They will be responsible for growing two brands within the company and customer base and its value to employers. Core responsibilities will include achieving agreed year-on-year new business and revenue targets through preparing and implementing business development plans and strategy consistent with Our Client’s corporate objectives. You will be self-starting, accustomed to travel where required and have good Digital Solutions and Consultancy Sales experience within the Workforce Improvement, Development and Training sector. Key Responsibilities: Business Development Develop, maintain and deliver a viable business development plan for the designated area of responsibility, in line with Our Clients strategic business plans Establish and build productive long-term relationships with new and existing customers. Play a lead role for business development in respect of Quality Mark services nationally, providing advice and practical assistance to colleagues to identify, quality and win business involving that service. Deliver against pipeline, annual revenue, new business and order value targets. Drive year-on-year improvement in sales within the designated area of responsibility. Record and manage prospects in accordance with organisational requirements. Scope, qualify, generate, submit and (if required) present commercially viable proposals, bids and tenders in line with corporate quality standards. Contribute to the development and delivery of marketing plans and strategy for the Digital Solutions service provision locally and nationally. Lead in the preparation, co-ordination and running of local Tenders and Business Proposals Formulate viable business proposals in accordance with our Clients guidelines, drawing on the expertise and input of subject matter experts and other colleagues as required. Lead and support the preparation of tenders for new business in accordance with the bid management process and scheme of delegation as required. Lead the negotiation of commercial terms and the closing of contracts with clients within authorised limits of delegation. Prepare and present business cases for consideration by Senior Management Team members/Executive Directors as necessary. In partnership bids provide the principal corporate relationship with the co-bidder and ensure the overall co- ordination of processes from our Clients perspective. Work with the contracts and delivery teams to ensure that contract requirements are fully understood, documented and confirmed with the client in a timely manner. Solutions include: Rostering Solutions Moodle eLearning platform. Totara Learning Management System. Compliance and reporting tools. Skills & Accredited Qualifications Key Requirements: ·You will need to have good knowledge of public sector frameworks and operational processes ·Has at least 2-3 years of sales consultancy experience into public sector markets ·At least 3 years of field / territory sales experience ·Understanding of value-added solutions and workforce improvements ·Full licence and transport ·Represent the company values and purpose ·Selling and working within the public sectors ·Software and digital solutions selling ·Working closely with the marketing teams ·Plan and execute a sales strategy ·Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction ·Consultative selling ability ·Oversee day to day sales and marketing performance ·Effective budget management ·Happy to travel across the UK ·Reporting and working with the board ·Organisational development and structure Salary and Application The salary is up to £60,000 per annum, 25 days leave with an annual increase up to 28 days, 6% pension, laptop, phone, mileage 45p pm, overnight accommodation and public transport pre-paid, entertainment and expenses.
