Seven Healthcare is looking for a Locum Paediatric Occupational Therapist to fill an ongoing role in the Guildford area. The role: My client based near Guildford are seeking an ongoing band 6/7 Occupational Therapist to work on an ongoing basis. They are seeking a candidate who has experience working with children aged 0-19 with neuro disability and developmental difficulties in the community. Key responsibilities: To work as an in clinical professional with knowledge and skills, problem solving and clinical reasoning in a specialist area To manage, with support and supervision, and prioritise a caseload of service users with complex mental/physical health needs and/or challenging behaviour. To use evidence based/service user centred principles and clinical reasoning to assess, plan, implement and evaluate intervention To assess and monitor the service user's need for equipment and the provision of this, e.g. raised toilet seats, adaptive cutlery, commode/shower chairs and minor adaptations as required (grab rails) To be committed to continuous professional development. Applicant Requirements: Qualifications: BSc or equivalent in Occupational Therapy Compliance: Registered with the HCPC Preferably a member of RCOT. Experience: Experience working with children aged 0-19 with neuro disability and developmental difficulties in the community Knowledgeable in Occupational Therapy models and treatment approaches and able to critically evaluate implementation within clinical area in line with organisational policies and evidence based practice principles.
