The Council are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and dedicated Technical Support Analyst to join the service desk team as a 1st line support with moderate 2nd line duties. Your new role As part of the service desk team you will be the first point of contact playing a vital role in ensuring ICT support exceeds the customer's expectation. Your new role will find you performing and completing all aspects of service, from telephone triage to floor walking. Providing hardware and software technical support to end users, you will be responding to, documenting and resolving service tickets in line with agreed SLAs. Within this role you will perform root cause analysis and identify opportunities to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of the service provided by the service desk. Share information and assist team members, monitor the Council's computer systems and networks whist performing user administration duties What you'll need to succeed Your technical experience of supporting Windows Operating Systems, Active Directory and Exchange, TCP/IP, DNS and DHCP will all contribute to your success in this role. Your excellent written and verbal communication skills coupled with the ability to translate technical jargon into easy to understand terms are highly desirable as well as your ability to provide remote support. A customer centric attitude, and a passion for improvement will serve you well within this role. What you'll get in return Offering a salary starting from £22,021.
