This role will be based in our Chessington Support Office, located near Tolworth station, only a 30-minute journey from London Waterloo. 12 month maternity cover contract What we're looking for As the Digital Design and Development Manager, you will be responsible for developing the Oliver Bonas trading website, as well as our email communications. You will be managing a team of three working across site development, support and design, in addition to an external development agency. Drawing upon your previous experience, you will be a clear and confident communicator with the ability to share complex information or processes in a concise way. You will also be innovative and creative thinker with the ability to drive forward projects and deliver customer centric design and optimisation across OB's website and emails. What you'll be doing * Managing the improvement and leading the creation of a mobile focused site, and delivering the best creative for the site * Pushing the boundaries of design solutions to improve the front-end user experience, including the development of UI in line with the brand's look and feel * Publishing the onsite content schedule and collaborating closely with the campaign & CRM team to deliver the email marketing strategy * Creating end-to-end and front-end design for landing pages, microsites, email newsletters, affiliate/PPC banners including optimised device specific variants * Signing off on designs and providing a hands-on design support to other team members, ensuring all outcomes meet the brand guidelines and style * Managing internal and external stakeholder's input to ensure business objectives of projects are met * Prioritising and managing the backlog of change through development sprint cycles * Ensuring a constant stream of customer centric optimisation and identifying ways to improve user experience * Building a strong team, motivating them to collaborate, support and effectively communicate with each other * Keeping abreast of changes and trends in web development in order to implement them where relevant * Leading and working as part of digital or wider organisational project teams as required Key skills needed * Expert knowledge in majority of programmes in Adobe creative suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign) * Web Design / UX degree or equivalent and 3+ years' experience desirable * Previous experience working for an online or ecommerce retailer * HTML and CSS experience * A working knowledge of relevant GDPR legislation and regulations * Magento and JIRA experience desired but not essential * Strong presentation, communication and interpersonal skills * Proven ability to communicate complex processes at all levels Bonas Benefits We pay a competitive salary, with up to 50% discount on OB products.
