Overview
Experienced temporary support worker needed for ad-hoc shift cover - Warrington - Learning Disabilities Autism Your new company I am working closely with a residential service providing accommodation & support for six men with learning disabilities and complex needs, including challenging behaviour. The service aim to provide the best person centred care tailored to the individuals needs. The service are looking for the best, most experienced support workers to cover sickness and annual leave as and when needed. Your new role You will be supporting service users with learning disabilities and autism in their day to day life. This will include supporting with basics such as meal times and personal care as well as taking out into the community and supporting with various activities. You will be expected to carry out basic domestic duties such as cooking, cleaning and laundry. The role of a support worker is different every day so if you want variety, then this is the role for you What you'll need to succeed You must have a minimum of 6 months experience in the last 2 years to apply. Ideally you will drive although this is not essential if you are comfortable to travel via public transport. You will ideally have worked in similar services and be flexible to pick up a range of shifts. You must be reliable, hard working and passionate about support work.
