Skills for Security Limited are looking for a Tutor for the Level 3 Fire, Emergency and Security Systems apprenticeship. The role is currently based in based in Knutsford but moving to Warrington, with occasional travel across England. Ideally, you will have experience and/or knowledge of one of the following: • Fire, Emergency & Security Systems • Electrical Installation PURPOSE OF THE JOB: The role will include delivery of tuition within our Knutsford training centre to apprentices completing both the Fire and Security installation pathways. Within the context of the Business and Professional Development, the post holder will be responsible for the work-based assessment of Apprenticeship standard candidates, ensuring National Occupational Standards are met and achievement is timely. There will be a need to update caseload trackers & systems. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES: • To carry out training and assessments for delivery in the Level 3 Fire, Emergency & Security Systems apprenticeship • Ensuring national standards are maintained and assessment needs of candidates are being met • To identify and address learning and development needs of learners • To prepare the learner for end point assessment • Work with employers and the centre in order to ensure all clients and learners are developing effectively • Attend standardisation meetings and maintain up to date CPD • Promote safeguarding, prevent, British values, health and safety and equality and diversity. • Visit learners in the work place to support with their progress and development towards the occupational standard • Prepare, agree and review assessment plans with each candidate • Manage and maintain learner folders in line with ESFA audit requirements • Assist with development to ensure the programme is up to date • Liaise with the client to ensure that the learners’ needs are met • Undertake Health and Safety checks for learners on programme • Basic knowledge of Ofsted requirements Desired experience: • E-portfolio: 1 year • PTLLS/CertEd.: 2 years Required licence or certification: • Clean Driving Licence • DBS check Location: Cheshire with some travel This job was originally posted as www.totaljobs.com/job/89637443
