Overview
The Company Nigel Wright are delighted to be working in partnership with a food manufacturing business based in the North East who are looking to hire an experienced Customer Service Manager, to oversee a small customer service team and help ensure the company continues to deliver excellent customer service and operational efficiency. Reporting directly into the Operations Director, the successful candidate will have previous experience of working within the food industry, with specific knowledge and experience of logistic operations or transport. The Role • Process and manage all customer orders received via the internal ERP system • Plan and book orders in with production and proactively monitor order progress - keeping customer up to date throughout • Organise transport and deliveries from factory to customer site • Raise and issue invoices and product information sheets to customers (including Safety Sheets, Certificates of Analysis etc) • Be a pivotal link and the main point of contact between customer and factory • Provide day to day management and supervision to the customer service team Person Specification • Previous experience in a similar customer service role with a passion for delivering a customer-centric experience • Previous line management experience in a fast-paced logistics or transport environment • Experience working in the food industry - preferably within a manufacturing facility • Be self-motivated, confident and determined to get it right first time and meet deadlines • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
