Overview
Based just north of the City, this is a great opportunity for an intelligent, well spoken individual to further develop their accounting experience. So perhaps you have a years accounts experience doing 1 ledger e.g. you are doing sales ledger/ credit control and want to gain more all round experience, then this role may be what you have been waiting for. Working in an open plan office, you will also benefit from working alongside the Business Operations, Sales Marketing, Design and Production Teams; this enables you to quickly understand the essence of the business, how it functions as a whole and feel fully involved in the company. You will report to a very well experienced Accountant who is happy to mentor you and ensure you understand all accounts to trial balance level. You will be involved in sales ledger,credit control internationally, bought ledger, bank reconciliations and all elements of financial accounting using Sage Accounting. As there will be Credit Control involving chasing international client debt, being clearly spoken and being a strong communicator are essential traits. It is a lively atmosphere and the ability to prioritize your tasks and a good sense of humour are essential elements working in such a setting. This will ideally suit a Second Jobber who is keen to learn or perhaps a numerate Graduate / AAT studier who is looking for their first permanent role; you would still need 6 months accounts experience and to be a confident personality regardless of your educational background.
