Overview
Our client is a ftse 250 healthcare business looking to recruit a Group Financial Reporting Manager to be based in their Reading HQ. The Group Financial Reporting Manager will manage a small team and own the consolidation process, statutory and regulatory obligations and promote best practice with respect to financial reporting, ensuring compliance with latest accounting guidance. Responsibilities will include: · Day-to-day management of a team of 2 finance professionals. · Responsible for the delivery of interim and year end reports for the Group. · Technical SME for ad-hoc accounting matters, including review of the Group’s accounting policies. Anticipates and investigates new accounting developments and respond to the accounting implications and disclosure requirements as appropriate. · Ownership for the successful delivery of the statutory financial statements subsidiary companies (there are approximately 34 subsidiary companies consisting of operating, holding, property and equipment leasing companies). Preparation of the main trading company statutory financial statements. · Ownership of the month end consolidation and reporting process. · Review balance sheet reconciliations and other financial data to ensure successful execution of balance sheet control processes. · Key point of contact with external auditors for audit of both Group and Statutory reporting. · Support the Head of Financial Accounting and Control with implementation of the updated Control Framework, reflecting updated processes and policies · Oversight of the embedding of new accounting standards and associated controls, such as IFRS 16 · Oversight of VAT and other regulatory returns (PSA and ONS). · Adopt a proactive and collaborative approach to problem solving of issues within Finance, the wider business and with external stakeholders. A salary of £65,000-£70,000 is on offer plus upto 10% bonus, pension healthcare and 27 days holiday.
