Overview

Purpose: Manage the team and take control of the compliance and transactional side of day to day finance and all financial reporting for the group. Key Accountabilities : Completion of the Group Consolidation for monthly management accounts. Producing monthly management pack with supporting working for review, including the Group KPI’s. Key role in the delivery of an efficient year-end audit process. Preparation of Group FRS 102 statutory accounts and consolidations as well as managing all subsidiary entities’ statutory requirements. Review of VAT returns for the Group. Corporation tax computations for the Group companies and review of calculations performed by advisors. Liaising directly with directors and advisors regarding insurance, accounting and other treasury related items. Managing additional finance team members who work as Business Partners within the divisions. Supporting the Finance Director (FD) on ad-hoc projects as required Knowledge & Experience: Strong communication skills with ability to confidently liaise with external stakeholders and other departments. Comfortable with preparation of VAT returns/statutory account. Knowledge of EC Sales Lists, Intrastat returns, UK importing process ACA Qualified with strong financial accounting experience. Ability to manage and develop junior staff. Team player, willing to support the rest of the team and wider business. EDUCATION: ACA/ACCA qualified, 4 years PQE Former auditor in top 10 accounting practice preferable at manager level PERSON SPECIFICATION: Strong communication skills Strong attention to detail Complete understanding of all elements of financial accounting and compliance Team player Extensive experience within the processing side of the finance function. COMMUNICATION: Senior Managers/ Directors Staff reporting directly to yourself External regulatory bodies: HMRC, auditors etc. Suppliers of key central services Wider team and members of staff outside of finance SALARY: £274 - 375 a day depending on experience
