Overview
We are currently recruiting for a Group Financial Accountant to join a leading Reading based business in order to bolster the technical finance team. You'll be a first or second mover from practice who is looking to gain exposure with a leading organisation and you'll have strong technical accounting skills experienced in reporting under IFRS. Day to day you'll be involved in the following : Developing best practice processes and procedures around our external reporting, in both a statutory and regulatory environment. Reviewing and implementing new accounting procedures and other corporate reporting developments affecting the business. Assisting with the preparation of annual and interim consolidated financial statements and regulatory accounts. Producing key deliverables for submission to the Board at various stages during the year. Be a key contact for the external audit team at year-end, half-year and other times during the year. Providing ad hoc technical accounting advice to other areas of finance and the wider business and assisting in delivering the annual finance training. Day-to-day management of subsidiary companies, including the processing of journals and preparation of balance sheet reconciliations; budgeting and forecasting; and, preparation of the statutory accounts.
