Associate Director - Design Lead
Overview
A talented associate director is required for a well-established practice; they have forged a niche in commercial and residential design with values up to 20 million in central London. They are an enterprising, ambitious firm who have maintained a stable practice, loyal clients and are keen to grow to the next level having enquiries from tier one developers. They create elegant, timeless architecture having a sympathetic approach to context and site, encouraging a personal approach which has led to successful and award-winning projects. The role will challenge and encourage ambitious architects, those who may be sitting at associate, associate director or currently in a design director role. The role blends a multitude of skills to manage the design and design direction of your team. You will work closely with the MD to better program planning and ways of working to support bigger projects they are beginning to win. The successful applicants will need to be involved in business development, although having a black book isn’t crucial as they already have the contacts to establish a firm base. You will need to have a track record of core London commercial and residential projects, great design acumen and a grounded approach. The studio requires the associate director to be hands-on, ideal for those who want to remain involved in the design process and running of projects across all stages, able to mentor teams and encourage best practice when working on schemes above 20 million.
