Overview
Leading US law firm is looking to hire a new Risk & Compliance Analyst to join their London based Risk & Compliance Team. The team is responsible for ensuring compliance with the firm's regulatory obligations in relevant jurisdictions, working closely with colleagues in the global Conflicts and General Counsel teams. Duties will include performing risk assessments, ongoing monitoring and due diligence for Know Your Client purposes, reviewing client due diligence packs, performing data protection impact assessments and contract reviews for various new assets in line with relevant data protection rules, maintaining the firm’s records of processing activities spreadsheet to ensure compliance with the firm’s obligations under the GDPR, supporting the Risk and Compliance Manager when responding to data subject access requests, reviewing and drafting relevant policies and procedures to ensure the firm is aligned with all legal obligations and responding to compliance related requests. Applicants need to be s elf-educating, curious and pragmatic, be capable of working under pressure with commitment to deliver under tight deadlines, team player, have the ab ility to handle sensitive and confidential management issues and information with discretion with e xcellent written and verbal communication skills including proofreading. Applicants need to be degree educated or equivalent, have a keen interest in Risk/Compliance/AML with previous legal/research experience preferred.
