Design Support Engineer Job Location: Poole, Dorset Job Type: Permanent Salary: Depending on experience Hours: Monday – Friday 8am to 5pm with a ½ day finish on Fridays (37.5 hours per week) A leading Global manufacturing company based in Poole has undergone significant system & business changes and is now seeking to add to its Design Team by recruiting a Design Support Engineer to support the day-to-day CAD and drawing activities within the Design Support Department. Reporting to the Senior Design Engineer, you will be responsible for: Assisting with Sample Pack processing, including Design & CAD Drawings. Produce 3D & 2D CAD drawings suitable for customer approval and internal manufacture Process DCR (Design Change Request) & MCR (Minor Change Request) driving engineering change through the company. Create and amend Bill of Materials. Investigating Quality Alerts, Concessions & 1 st off reports. Work with Purchasing Department to support cost savings. Assist in the preparation of department key performance indicators (KPI’s) Any other reasonable duties, as requested by your manager The successful applicant will possess: · Previous CAD experience, ideally with SolidWorks · Proven experience of working in an engineering environment · Experience working with Bill of Materials · Self-motivated, both in a team and independently · Excellent communication, numerical and problem solving skills. · Ability to produce work consistently to a high standard within tight deadlines. · Ability to prioritise and manage a diverse and busy workload. · Excellent IT skills including Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Outlook. Hours: Monday – Friday, 8.00am – 5pm with an earlier finish on a Friday.
