Overview

With a minimum of two years' post qualification practice under your belt, and experience of strategic and development in a ASD/ABI healthcare field, you could join the multidisciplinary team at St Mary's Hospital in Warrington as a Lead Psychologist. Working in conjunction with the regional Head of Psychology, you will be responsible for determining and meeting the psychological needs of the service user group, manage delivery of the psychological service and contribute to the work of the North West Area Care Pathways group. People in your care are detained under the Mental Health Act and may suffer from ABI or ASD/learning disabilities and have additional secondary diagnoses. They will come from many sources including psychiatric hospitals, prisons community placements and the courts. You will be a great communicator, be well presented, can demonstrate a specialist and highly developed knowledge of models, methods, law and polices in psychology in the context of national developments, in relation to mentally disordered offenders. As a HCPC registered Practitioner Psychologist, you will be experienced of managing and supervising staff in an ASD or ABI setting, including demonstrating credible leadership to junior colleagues.
