Network Technical Lead
Overview
We are recruiting for a Network Technical Lead to join our Hosting and Infrastructure team located in the Warrington office. In this role, you’ll ensure thorough delivery of technical services for new and existing clients. The role is an integral part of a technical team supporting a hosted environment that delivers hosted services to both internal and external customers. Providing technical leadership, in-depth knowledge of security best practice and technical problem resolution for network infrastructure, you’ll collaborate closely with all functions of our business and customers. Working in line with the Network Security Policy, you will take responsibility for all routing and switching configurations as well as perimeter security configurations and boundaries (LAN/WiFi/WAN/Public Internet). Identifying potential service and security issues, you’ll carry out vulnerability audits and scans as well as penetration tests to identify risks and remediation. In addition, you’ll be involved in internal compliance/risk/capacity meetings as well as internal and external security audits and will create and maintain policies and procedures/registers as well as diagrammatic technical documentation. As the operational support for all network environments, there will be a requirement on occasion, for you to provide resource to projects as well as support out of hours requirements and participate in the network on-call rota so a degree of flexibility will be required. You are: · A senior network engineer/technical lead within a similar role · CCNP certified · Experienced in the design, installation and configuration of WAN/LAN, wireless and security solutions · Able to maintain network security through proper configuration/software patch level of network components. · Able to communicate in an understandable, polite and friendly manner, both written and verbal · Able to motivate and manage others to achieve results You have: · Technical, analytical and interpersonal skills · Threat detection experience (IPS/IDS/AMP/URL filtering) · Experience with Cisco Routing, Switching, Wireless, Security and remote access · Experience of Load Balancers - Layer 4/7 · An understanding of BGP/OSPF/First HOP redundancy/IPSec (v1/v2)/PKI/SSL/802.1X/DAI/DHCP Snooping/Port Security/MAC filtering/IP Source Guard/2-factor authentication/QoS/DNS/DHCP/Radius · Protocol Analysis experience (Netflow, SNMP, Syslog, Wireshark) · Strong organisational skills and ability to multi-task · A valid driver’s license with no restrictions and possess reliable transportation · Appreciation of ITIL standards · Knowledge of PCI / GDPR / ISO 9001/27001/22301 compliance You may have: · ITIL v3 Foundation certification · Windows Server 2008/2012/2016 experience · Linux Server (RedHat) · Knowledge of VoIP implementation and support · VMWare hypervisor technologies experience · SAN (iSCSI/FC) · Leadership skills This job was originally posted as www.totaljobs.com/job/89934403
