The day job As a Lead Network Engineer, you will be responsible for providing quality technical support for our growing client and partner base. You will diagnose problems and troubleshoot the within one of two technology areas; Data Centre/LAN/WAN/Wireless, or Firewall/Load Balancing/Threat Protection. Our support engineers are foremost problem-solvers passionate about networking, and we seek talented, enthusiastic and tech-savvy individuals to lead and mentor these engineers and build upon our rapidly expanding delivery of digital transformation and network automation. Key responsibilities: Collaborate with other support team members to fix network outages, misconfigurations, and complex networking issues on customers' devices Stay up to date on vendor features and technology, and keeping up with enterprise and cloud networking trends Diagnose and troubleshoot issues within your area of specialism Confident to lead a team focusing on LANs, VLANs, VPNs, QOS, Enterprise Wireless Networks Working across multiple vendors switch, route and wireless products including Cisco, Meraki, HP/Aruba. Firewall/Load Balancing/Threat Protection: Confident to lead a team focussing on Next Generation Firewalls, Web Application Firewalls, Load Balancing, Cloud Services, Threat Protection, IPS/IDS Working across multiple vendors including Palo Alto, Cisco ASA, Checkpoint, AWS, Azure, F5 LTM/ASM, Citrix Netscalers. Essential skills: Fundamental understanding of and hands-on experience with network technologies in your respective area of specialism Thorough comprehension of fundamental networking protocols including TCP, STP, ARP, Ethernet, BGP, OSPF, EIGRP etc Ability to clearly and concisely articulate matters to third parties Outstanding customer service skills Excellent account management, follow-through, and attention to detail Experience in computer networking related problem solving, critical thinking, and troubleshooting Ability to multitask and work under pressure Cisco CCNA/CCNP Security / Switching & Routing / Wireless Palo Alto PCNSE, F5-CTS LTM/ASM, Checkpoint CCSA.
